How do I get rid of the Windows version on my desktop? [windows version] [media player 9]

Q: I use Windows XP Pro. Ive long ago downloaded and installed a beta of media player 9. Not one who just came out. After installation, windows started her version on the desktop disply. I have TweakUI installed, and I tried to get the checkbox in the General settings clearly labeled “Show on the Windows desktop version, but it will not go away even after logging off and back on and a restarting.

is way to get rid of addition to reformatting?

Re:1.) Go to Start > Run > regedit, then delete the following two keys:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\CA\Cert
ificates\FEE449EE0E3965A5246F000E87FDE2A065FD89D4

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\ROOT\Ce
rtificates\2BD63D28D7BCD0E251195AEB519243C13142EBC 3
2.) Restart, and when you get back into Windows the text will be gone.
Re:whoa I dont even have a web tab under "customize desktop"
Re:1.Right click on the desktop.
2.Choose properties.
3.Choose desktop tab.
4.Look for CUSTOMIZE DESKTOP click on it.
5.Choose the web tab.
6.you'll see LOCK DESKTOP ITEMS box..check it.
